The LL.M. (Master of Laws) program is a one-year degree program that typically includes 180 students from some 70 countries. The Graduate Program is interested in attracting intellectually curious and thoughtful candidates from a variety of legal systems and backgrounds and with various career plans. Harvard’s LL.M. students include lawyers working in firms, government officials, law professors, judges, diplomats, human rights activists, doctoral students, business men and women, and others. The diversity of the participants in the LL.M. program contributes significantly to the educational experience of all students at the School.

Fordham Law's New LLM Program for Busy Legal Professionals
The Fordham Law Public Interest Advisory Council is a group of Law School alumni and local public interest leaders who provide advice on how best to prepare students for legal practice in public interest and public service positions, including legal knowledge, professional skills, and the ethos of service.
It would interest many law graduates and legal professionals to know that Fordham University Law School has just launched a new and flexible Professional Track LLM program. This is an executive masters level degree designed for foreign-trained lawyers and international law graduates who are unable to attend the standard full-time nine-month LLM classes due to their busy schedules.
What Is An Llm Program
Prospective students of this new LLM program will instead be afforded the flexibility to start their first semester in either January or August for four and a half months, then take time off for up to 15 months. They can then return to Fordham to complete the remaining semester (another four and a half months). Those who manage to accomplish this program in two years or less may be eligible to take the New York bar exam.
Fordham Law is offering eight regular LLM programs. Those who intend to acquire the new Professional Track LLM degree may choose from any of these specialist programs and take it based on the new flexible schedule instead of the normal full time 9-month duration. As classes will start in January 2018, it is wise to prepare the necessary requirements now and start applying for your program of choice. Applications are now being accepted through LSAC. Those planning to acquire scholarships may need to apply earlier to be considered.
